The first book I remember loving to hear was The Little Engine that Could. I loved the pictures and the idea of that little engine doing the impossible. The first book I remember reading and loving was Anne of Green Gables.

The first book I remember enjoying was Winn-Dixie. I had to read the book for summer reading. At first I thought that it would be boring but as I got to the middle it was like a burst of fun! I read it over and over again until I got tired!

One of the very first books I enjoyed reading was, well a Bible. When I was about 9 I was given a copy of the Bible from my church and found the writings profound and enlightening. The story of creation sparked a sense of knowledge in me and made me want more of this sensual history. I continued reading and found the characters to be full of life and almost as realistic as they're real life counterparts. I believe what made me enjoy the Bible so much was the hidden meanings, the variety of truths, and the ways of God who guided humanity in the darkness afterwards. This is why I consider the Bible one of the greatest books of all time and my number one favorite.

The first book that I remember reading and loving is Outside Beauty. I loved the sense of humor and how the story tells you that beauty isn't everything in life, that there are more important things to worry about. This is still one of my most favorite books I have ever read.

The books that I truly enjoyed was The Thirteenth Princess, Storm Runners, and Small Steps. I liked The Thirteenth Princess because it had a lot of mysteries and parts where you feel suspicious that you know what's going on. For Storm Runners, it was also mysterious and on some parts you can feel excited for the main character, Chase. The last book I truly enjoyed was Small Steps because it was as if someone or yourself were in the story. I just loved reading these books and I really like to recommend it to a lot of people. To answer you question, my first book that I truly enjoyed was The Thirteenth Princess. I had a lot of books that I truly enjoyed, but I don't really remember them all. Also, I don't even know if The Thirteenth Princess was the first book that I truly enjoyed.

The first book I loved was "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What did you see". The thing I liked about it was the pictures of the animals and kids. Also, every time I read it, I sing the words. Finally the feel always read this book with a smile.

The first book I truly remember enjoying was Walter the Farting Dog. I remember my dad reading it to me when I was a kid. My favorite part was when he added his own sound effects. He made me laugh so much. I would probably read this story to my own kids someday.

Q: What was the first book you remember truly enjoying? (Describe your experience and reaction to the book.)

The first book I ever read (which is the story I still enjoy listening to and reading) is Laura’s Star by Klaus Baumgart. I had just turned three years old, and the book had been bought for me because it simply had my first name on it. After asking my mother to read it so many times, she decided it was time to teach me how to read. By three and a half years, I knew how to read. So far, it was the only book I wanted to read, so I read it over and over again. When I read it today, I remember a quote someone has said before: “If you love somebody, let them go. If they come back, they were always yours. If they don’t, they never were.” [Kahlil Gibran]

In Laura’s Star, Laura spots a streak of silver shooting past her window at night and discovers a sparkly star nearby. She has always wanted someone to share her secrets with, and so she takes the little star home and makes it her friend. But when she wakes up the next morning, Laura discovers that the little star has disappeared. She searches everywhere, but it’s no use. Finally, at night, she reunites with her friend, but decides to let the star go back to the sky. Then she ties balloons to the star and watches it float into the sky.

The first book I remember I enjoyed was "Where's Mr.Rabbit?" You had to read the clues and using the hints to find the rabbit, hiding under a lettuce or hay. It was a great book. I read it when I was three or so. I squealed with joy when I found the rabbit.

The first book that I enjoyed reading was a story from the Munsch Works book called I'll Love You Forever. It was a sweet book that my mother used to read to my older sister and I before we went to bed. Another book from the Munsch Works book was called Purple, Green and Yellow. I loved the colorful pictures and the silly idea of a girl first turning into a gazillion colors, then invisable, and then having to draw her self back to her original self.

the first book I remember reading and enjoying was Jane Eyre. I loved the way Jane suffered through her childhood and had a good life with Mr. Rochester in the end. I was confused and horrified at the beginning because Jane's relatives were treating her badly. I did not get why they were treating her that way. I especially disliked the scene when one of Jane's cousins, John, threw a heavy book at her. Also, I am not fond of Mrs. Reed because she thought her children were perfect when obviously they were mean and selfish. Jane had bad memories of the past and yet she pulled through, tutoring and helping Mr. Rochester's little girl. This book is enjoyable and I recommend it to other people.

The first book I enjoyed was James and the Giant Peach. I loved how James makes friends with insects inside a giant peach, sails the sea using the peach, ends up in Manhattan, and feeds the giant peach to the children there . At first, I had to read this book because of a book report at school, but then I couldn't stop reading it. This ended up to be one of my favorite books when I was little.

The books I truly enjoyed were "The Thirteenth Princess"; "Storm Runners"; and "Small Steps". I enjoyed "The Thirteenth Princess" because it had adventures and it makes you suspicious as if you know the answer to the mystery. The "Storm Runners" was also my truly enjoyed book because it was adventurous and it also makes you suspicious. I truly enjoyed "Small Steps" because it had a teaching that one should not copy or duplicate something. Now to answer your question, the book that I truly enjoyed first was "The Thirteenth princess". Also, I'm not sure if "The Thirteenth Princess" is my first truly enjoyed book because I read so many books that I don't really remember what books I like.

The first book I remember truly enjoying was the series," Percy Jackson & The Olympians". I remember reading this book about two or three years ago. This book provided vivid images that I still remember now. This book made me want to read books. I try my best to find books like this because I want to relive the enjoyment of reading. I also enjoyed "The Giving Tree" and this book was introduced to me in 6th grade. It might be a kid's book but I am pretty sure it has made everyone that read the book smile.

I think it's wicked and twisted how someone (Hitler) could treat the Jews like that. I mean, why would he even think that his race was better than theirs? It doesn't really make sense. But most importantly, the sad thing is that it still goes on today a little. Humans haven't really changed if you think about it: for example, we still have slavery. (Commenting on Isaiah's)

"James and the Giant Peach" was the first book that I truly enjoyed reading when I was in 2nd grade. I was always excited for story time because the book was so exciting to read. My teacher would read couple pages a day, but when she finishes I would always wonder what would happen next.

You say that the Percy Jackson series is one of the first books you truly enjoyed. If this book is really as good as you say and that this book made you love reading... then I will probably have to start reading the series too! I honestly have never read this series, but if you say its good, than I might start reading it! I also agree that The Giving Tree was a good book. When I read The Giving Tree, it certainly showed me to put others before myself.

I remember I used to love reading Captain Underpants books. You said you enjoyed it because it was funny in many ways. How ways it funny to you? I personally thought it was funny when the two kids would rearrange the letters on the bulletin and make it say something funny. I also liked how the mean principal would fight crime in his underwear.

I have not read the series Little house in the big woods but the way you talk about how much you like the series it reminds me about the way I felt about the series Night by Elie Wiesel. By the way you talk about the series I thought about reading the series, but I was wondering what is your favorite book out of the series and why?

I would like to reply to Laura's comment because I think it was very well thought out and it was interesting and fun to read. The quote you put was also very moving and I will keep that quote to heart. I found it funny how you started reading at 3 and a half years old and, that you got a book because it had your first name on it. If I could grade it, I would give it an A+. Well done!
